IMG Comfort

IMG (Internasjonal Møbel Gruppe) is located in Sykkylven, Norway – famous for its steep mountains and deep fjords as well as the production and development center for Scandinavian comfort recliners.

As part of the Ekornes AS group, IMG’s passion is to engineer and design furniture that delivers world leading comfort and back-saving ergonomic support. Our vision is to create exclusive designs that deliver an exceptional combination of comfort, quality and unsurpassed value.

Within every chair and sofa — you will discover IMG’s drive for excellence. Our philosophy combines the science of body correct ergonomics with old-world craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology. Our entire range is designed, engineered and tested by our Norwegian product development team and produced in our own vertically integrated manufacturing companies in Lithuania and Thailand.

Design

We study the human body so we can develop and deliver furniture that is easy to live with, that balances creative design with comfort, as well as health, thoughtful ergonomics and space efficiency.

The IMG Design Centre is located in Sykkylven, Norway and our products are designed by our team of Norwegian designers and engineers who for decades have created furniture according to the virtues of strength, durability, stability, effortless function, beauty and most importantly lasting healthy comfort.

Looking deeper you will notice we artfully combine the science of ergonomics with old world techniques and state-of-the-art technology. This technology includes our unique mechanisms, cold-cured molded foam, ultra-sonic wood lamination and distinctively designed inner steel frames.

All IMG materials, selected to ensure optimum performance, have been individually assessed to provide the correct style and comfort for each model. Our skilled team, utilizing specialized equipment combined with decades of experience, produce the best outcome possible.
